Rosemarie Wall Obituary

Rosemarie Violet Wall
Died: July 30, 2023
Rosemarie Violet Wall, 88, died on June 30, 2023, after complications from a hip fracture. She was a strong, hardworking, determined (stubborn) woman who expected the best from herself and those who she deeply loved. Her dearest friends knew her to be devoted, positive and hilarious. Rose worked for Sears where she met her husband and formed deep and long-standing friendships with her "Club" ladies. She started her family and then worked for LaGrange Community Nursing to assist in the healthcare of others. Frank and Rose enjoyed traveling and spending every summer with a trip to the beach in Michigan.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Edward) Rink, son Steven (Julie) Wall and son-in-law, Sean (Kelly) Lyons. Rose is also survived by her sister Mary Abbott and brother John Selke. Surviving grandchildren include Kayleigh (Taylor) Everding, Alexander (Michele) Rink, Emma (Ben) Schranz, Stephanie Rink, Sam (Beth) Wall, Nicholas Rink, Derek Rink, Luke Lyons, Ben Lyons, and Grace Lyons. Great grandchildren include Meadow Everding, Nora Schranz, Lena Wall, Glen Everding, and Jude Schranz. Rose will be missed by the ladies from "Club."
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin and daughter Susan Lyons, as well as her brother-in-law Russ Abbott, sister-in-law Clare Selke and ladies of "Club."
We are indebted to Mary Abbott, John Selke, nieces, and nephews who took care of Rose when she dug in her heels to live in her home full of cherished memories. Ladies of "Club" are in our hearts for being her second family. We are extremely grateful for EVERY staff member of Rennes Health in Appleton (especially Nikki and Nicole) and ThedaCare Hospice for their respectful and compassionate care.
Rose and Frank would like to have their final resting place by the beach in Michigan where they can watch the sunrise and sailboats. A memorial service in Chicago for them will be scheduled and held in autumn.

To Rosemarie's family:

I knew Rose and Frank as second cousins. Indirectly knew who her children were, but I don't believe I every met any of you.

Rose & my Mother Lorraine Zwolinski Pote were first cousins. It was mostly at all those Polish weddings that we got to see/meet all those "cousins" as we were growing up.

My Mom was close to Aunt Eleanor Selke & Uncle John. We'd drive into the city for a visit or they'd come out to the suburbs to see us. I always remember how crazy, humorous Aunt Eleanor was and Rose was just like her.

Rosemarie was such a delight to be with. She was fun and had a way to always make you laugh. The last time I saw Rose was at my Aunt Eleanore Zwolinski's 90th birthday celebration.

The last time I talked with her was last year after Hurricane Ian hit Fort Myers, FL. That's were I live now. Mary Kaye called and we had a three-way conversation.

I'm sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how difficult this must be. Know that your Mom has left me with happy memories and tons of smiles.
With loving thoughts and prayers,
Linda Pote Graham
