Rosemarie Slaby Obituary
Rosemarie Slaby, nee Kalus, age 100, passed away November 10, 2014.
Rosemarie was raised in Union Pier, Michigan with her sister, Mildred, where she attended a one room school house first through eighth grades. Rosemarie attended Three Oaks and Morton High Schools, and later began a beauty culture business which she ran for many years.
In 1934, she married Irwin C. Slaby, D.D.S who practiced dentistry in Cicero, until his death in 1986. In 1937, she and her husband moved to Riverside, where they had three children, Edward D.D.S (Roberta), Ronald Ph.D. (Diana Arezzo Ph.D.) and the late infant Robert Slaby.
Mrs. Slaby was a member of the Friends of the Riverside Library, The Riverside Women's Club and The Organ-holics Electronic Organ Club. Rosemarie was a fifty year member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church. She left Riverside in 1987 to retire to Beacon Hill, in Lombard.
She is survived by her two sons, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at a later date at Beacon Hill.
