Rose Quattrochi Obituary

ROSE QUATTROCHI Rose Quattrochi died peacefully on Wed., Sept. 18, 2013. She was 83. Rose was the devoted wife of the late Michael Quattrochi, and beloved mother of Helen, Bonnie, Sammy, Margie, Bobby, and the late Micki. She was a loving sister to Eddie, Margie, Frankie, Patty, and the late Gerry, Chris, and Barbara. Rose was a familiar friendly face in her home town of Addison, where for many years she was the hostess at two restaurants, Denny 's and, later, Dapper 's. She also was well known for her meatballs and mostaccioli. Rose loved her home and her yard, and enjoyed visiting with her neighbors, especially Frank and Teresa DeFrisco. Rose had many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always looked forward to spending time with her great-grandchild, Bella, the light of her life. She will be greatly missed by many, but her smile and sense of humor will live on forever. We love you and we 'll miss you, mom. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Rose was our neighbor and the glue to the cul de sac, always knowing what was going on and spreading the word. We will especially miss her special relationship with our dog Daisy, the basset hound. Rose told us the story of one of the funniest things she ever saw was when we had a garage sale and Daisy was tied to a table she came over to visit us. As soon as Daisy saw Rose, she got up and started running to Rose, pulling the table with her as it was clanking and tumbling down the front lawn and into the street. We think Daisy again greeting and barking at her, this time at heaven's door. She was a wonderful friend and will sorely be missed. We love you Rose!

Rose and my mom were neighbors. When my son was young Rose gave him a sucker and it became a tradition for him to stop by whenever he visited his grandmother. Sometimes he would bring his cousins with him to see Rose. She was known as the "Sucker Lady". Rose will be missed.

She reminded me of my "Nana". Such an awesome personality. I can still hear her singing Happy Birthday to Nicole!
