Rose Gore Obituary

Rose A. Gore, age 90, late of Shorewood, and formerly of Cicero, and Pell Lake, WI, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, surrounded by her loving family. Rose served as an Administrative Assistant to the Cicero Town Assessor, and was also a Cicero Precinct Captain. She and her husband operated the former Gore's Corners in Cicero, before retiring to Pell Lake. Rose loved traveling the world and throughout the United States. She will be remembered for her warm hospitality and excellent cooking skills. Survived by three daughters, Roberta (Frank) Kafka, Laurel (Joseph) Falco and Susan Psyk; seven grandchildren, Frank (Chelly), Eric (Cariane) and Mark (Sharon) Kafka, Christin Falco (Matthew Sonnenberg), Joel (Liz) Falco, Steven (Colleen) Hamilton, and Andrew (Rose) Psyk; ten great-grandchildren, Frankie, Cheyenne, Adam, Alexander, Nathaniel, Gillian, Jacob, Drew, Caroline and Aubrey; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded by her beloved husband of 51 years, Chester J. Gore (1993); three brothers, Adam, Frank and Joseph; three sisters, Josephine, Frances and Lucille; and one grandson, Jeffrey Psyk. Funeral Services for Rose Gore will be Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood, for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.
