Rosa Parker Obituary

PARKER,, ROSA B. METOYER Was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt peacefully entered eternal life Friday, April 13, 2007 at the age of 82. She is the youngest of 9 siblings. Rosa B. is survived by her husband, Arnett; daughter, Deitra Mosley; granddaughters, Keya S. Mosley and LaKendra Ann Simon; great grandson, Nazir Evans; sister, Beatrice Edwards; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Her son, Jesse Simon, III, preceded her in death. The memorial service will be Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Celebration Services will be Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Both services will be held at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1819 N. Washington Ave, Dallas, Texas 75204. She is a retired educator of the Dallas Independent School District and a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School (DISD). She received her Bachelor and Master degrees from Prairie View A&M University. She is a member of the Booker T. Washington/Lincoln Alumni Association and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rosa B. Parker Scholarship Fund at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1819 N. Washington Ave. Dallas, Texas 75204
