Ronald E. Tucek passed away at his home in Oswego, IL on February 22, 2022. He was born in Chicago, IL in 1929. He lived in Chicago, Minooka, Naperville, Cicero and Westmont before settling in Downers Grove, IL for over 30 years. After high school he enlisted in the Army and served from July of 1947 until December of 1948. He worked at Reynolds Aluminum in McCook, IL before working in the construction industry. He was a successful businessman owning Kocurek Concrete and Mil/Ron Trucking for over fifty years. He was a land developer, with Sunny Farm Acres in Plainfield being one of his projects. He served on the boards of several banks throughout his career.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred (Lorenz), daughter Cynthia (Gary) Carlson, parents Victor and Helen (Bestvina), sisters Joyce Van Dusen and Marlene Scanlon.
He is survived by son Ronald V. (Kathryn) Tucek, daughters Karen (Steve) Lindahl and Janis (Richard) Wolff, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and brother Denis.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville, Illinois. Funeral Service Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Risen Lord Cemetery, Oswego, IL.
