Ronald Harchar Obituary

R onald R. Harchar, 51, of Wilkes-Barre, died Friday at Hershey Medical Center.
Born July 5, 1954, in Scranton, he was a son of the late Edward J. and Mary (Sleeve) Harchar.
He was a graduate of Dunmore High School and earned a bachelor of science in accounting from Penn State University. Mr. Harchar was employed as director of the Luzerne County Tax Claim Bureau and most recently as deputy director of Luzerne County Solid Waste Management. Ron was an avid reader who enjoyed fishing and playing tennis and basketball.
He was preceded in death by brother Edward M., who died August 24, 1998.
Surviving are his fiancée, Katherine M. Shock, Wilkes-Barre; and brother, John R., Taylor.
Funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at M.J. McLaughlin Company, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Kathy I am so sorry to hear about Ron he was a great guy. I know how much you are going to miss him you did everything together. You were both so nice to me when Trisha was missing and when my mother died. I wish I could be there for you now. Just know that my prayers are with you. Remenber what a great guy he was it will help you get through this time in your life. If there is any thing I can do please let me know. Love Linda
