Ron Churchill Obituary

Ron Churchill died at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, MN on November 11, 2008 due to complications from chemo therapy. He was born in Oak Park, Ill in October, 1935 and grew up near Walworth, WI. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a degree in zoology. After serving in the Army he worked as an engineer at General Telephone and Electronics in Illinois until retirement. He and his family were residents of Western Springs, IL for 25 years. During that time he was active in the Theatre of Western Springs. He and his wife Mary Ann moved to Moose Lake near Hayward, WI in 1992. In retirement he enjoyed kayaking, wilderness camping, golfing with several groups and was active in conservation causes. He is survived by his wife and son Mike Churchill of San Diego, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Martha Churchill and his brother Terry Churchill. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to the Theatre of Western Springs.
