I remember Rob since Kindergarten. Although it's been years since I've spoken with him, I know we both shared an affection for our town. You will always be a part of my oldest memories.

Whenever I saw Rob his ever-ready warm-hearted smile, generosity of spirit, and friendly handshake always brought a smile to my face. His friendship with me picked me up when I felt down and was always inspiring- he was genuinely cheerful and just plain fun to be around, both onstage and off. He left far too soon and without warning but will always be remembered for the wonderful times he shared with all who had the privelege to know him. Rob was indeed a true gentleman. Though I am unable to attend the service and memorial gathering I take solace in knowing there will be legions there who will testify to his giving ways and kind demeanor. Rob, your family should be proud - you have led a wonderful life and left many to mourn your passing. You will live on in the hearts and minds of all who had the privelege to know you.

Although I have never met Rob I am sure he would have been a great guy to have known. I heard nothing but positive things about him. I want the family to know I feel your loss. In time God will heal their pain. Keep the faith. God Bless.

I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. I will long remember Rob's expressive singing and boundless energy in High School Madrigals. We haven't spoken in years, but clearly his life ended far too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. Peace.

Rob was an effervescent spirit with a wickedly fun sense of humor...especially rare at our tender young ages...we were just kids really. Sweet, loving, and puppy-like in all the good ways. What great times we had at Western Springs Children's Theatre, going to dances, hanging out at his folk's house with beloved Bogart "Boggie" and experiencing first love. Rob, you will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart and although we haven't been in touch for our adult lives, the news of your passing saddens me so. You are missed.

I will miss your great cheer, Rob, and all the good that went with it, right now and forever. You are one of the finest gentlemen I've ever had the privilege to work with. Thank you for all the answers you gave me, for truly, you are the rich people.

Whenever I think of Rob, I am reminded of his gentleness. He was a gentleman, even when he was joking or using "choice" words. Somehow, he always carried a kind of "vintage" class about him. I also can't think of him without thinking of Amanda, and the friendship and spark that was so evident during rehearsals. I can't express appropriately how very grieved I am for you, for your sense of loss. I pray God's comfort for you, and a peace that "passes understanding." Much love, Anna Dawson

I think of Rob every time I hear the sound track for Godspell. He played Jesus so well. I love you, Rob.

I first met Rob when he played "The Foreigner" at The Theatre of Western Springs when I was helping on the props crew. I will always remember being backstage when, immediately before the show, he received the news of his dear nephew's tragic death. Speaking to no one, he walked out the back door of the theatre and, within 30 minutes, returned to nobly give his usual brilliant performance. He was an extraordinary man who will be extraordinarily missed. Au revoir, Rob.

Rob-

You will be missed. When I first met you in our studio class back in 2000, my first impression of you was that you were a fantastic actor. After I got to know you, my next impression was that you were a fantastic human being.

Break a leg in that next big production in the sky!

Such a sweet man gone too soon. So many people were his friend; he showed everyone kindness and a smile and a helping hand. Rob's acting gigs will be remembered by thousands who saw him over the years at Theatre of Western Springs. I was fortunate one year in 2001 to have been on stage with Rob for Grove Players' production of The Foreigner. I made a good friend that year and always enjoyed seeing Rob on stage
