Robert A. Cynowa

Robert A. Cynowa, age 81, of Oak Brook, formerly of Hinsdale and Westmont passed away peacefully at home Saturday, December 17, 2016.

He was born March 20, 1935 in Chicago to Paul and Hattie (Bernhardt) Cynowa, who preceded him in death along with his brother Paul Cynowa Jr.

Robert was the beloved husband of 54 years to Diane (Wood) Cynowa. Loving father of Robert (Lorrie) Cynowa, Richard Cynowa , Mary Anne (Dan) Hogan and his deceased children, Karen and Peter John. Dear grandfather of Danica Anne Hogan.

His love, along with fishing, was always having a business of his own. These included Chain Food, and Liquors and Pirates Galley in Westmont, Manteno Mobile Home Park in Manteno, IL, J.D. Munch Vending Co., originally in Westmont, then Clarendon Hills, finally in Romeoville, Uncle Bub's BBQ in Westmont and currently A-1 Storage of Downers Grove. He was a great landlord to many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Tuesday December 20, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Toon Funeral Home 109 N. Cass Avenue Westmont, IL. All friends and relatives to meet Wednesday, December 21, 2016, Mass 10:00 AM at Ascension of Our Lord Church 1 S. 314 Summit Avenue Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181. Interment St Adalbert Cemetery Niles IL.
