I met Richard at St. Paul Federal 15 years ago and caught up with him at my current job at Winfield Community
Bank. He had such a wonderful personality along with a BEAUTIFUL
SMILE. He often mention his wife whom I am getting to know now. He always made me smile and I enjoyed
him as my customer.

Dad,
Let me reiterate the sentiment contained on the birthday card I sent for your 84th, which I would have read at your funeral if I could have maintained my composure:
When I think about man who has a deep & quiet soul - who works for what his famly needs, takes pleasure in his role; when I think about a man who had big challenges to face, I think about my dad, about his dignity and grace.
When I think about a man who in his daily life reveals so much strength and tenderness and depth in what he feels; when I think about a man who always gives the best he can, I think about my dad, my lifelong hero, a good man.
Dad, you've given so much of yourself so often without expecting anything in return. You're the best father anyone could ever have, and loved more than words can express.

I know Dad ( Joseph Soldat) thought so highly of his cousin Richard. I truly regret not meeting Richard in person but we did exchange some recent letters just in the past year. He surely was a thoughtful and caring man. My condolences to his family and friends.
