Dear Pat & family- My deepest condolences. I worked with Dick for years and he was always one of the most well liked & respected people I knew. I learned so much from Dick. There is no doubt that he lived a life worth living and that he will be missed.

I was 2 years behind Rich at Marmion but after he graduated from Illinois he and became great friends during our Carousel days. I have many memories that I will treasure forever but I never forgot a day I went up to Madison where Rich and Pat moved shortly after their marriage. Along with a friend of mine we were trying to figure out how to locate the street they lived on when I happened to look at a car that had pulled alongside us at a stoplight. It was a little Triumph with a driver that looked like he could be Fred Flintstone and just pick it up and run with it like Fred. Naturally it was Rich. That evening I still count as one of the most funfilled night in my life. He and Pat took us to a place called the Senate just off of the square in Madison. There was a small group called The Lou Aberle Group who played banjos, violins, base fiddles and guitars. This place was wild. It was a college hangout and I can remember Rich saying that he had never seen a cross word. I can tell you that I never ever heard a cross word when I was with Rich so that didn't surprise me. Pat and family I will have Rich and you guys in my prayers until I can't pray anymore. He will always remain one of my heros.

Dear Pat and Family,
I was so sad to hear of Rich's passing. Richard was one of a kind (the best kind). I know many near and far will miss him.
I best remember Rich by his divine way of making you feel at home, safe and like you've known him all your life. He was a big teddy bear so full of love and his love of life.
Rich, I'll miss your smiles and jokes. Now on your new journey, keep up the good work, for you have a lot of people to share your love, wisdom and laughter with.

Dear Patty and family: Altho Pat didn't know Dick as I did, having worked with him for many years, we will miss his yearly visits to Arizona. His humor, sincerity, smile and friendship will always have a place in our hearts. He made his 'mark' on many. Most sincerely, Winnie & Pat Auriemmo, Green Valley, AZ.

My deepest and sincere sympathy to you and your family.
Dick was a mentor to me at Allstate and taught me how kindness reaped much more rewards than work would ever do.
He was funny and did have a warm smile.
I'll keep him and your family in my prayers.

Patty & family--Dick was a remarkable man--generous with his time and counsel, loyal to his friends and so kind to all. His sense of humor was appreciated by all with whom he came in contact. It was my privilege to have worked with him, learned from him and Don and I will always be grateful for having had him in our lives.

Mr. Perez was a great man. He had a wickedly dry sense of humor and was the epitome of what a husband and father should be. I will always remember how he would unrelentingly tease Chris about borrowing his beloved Pontiac Bonneville, eventually letting in. Also, the man's ability to, not only eat Menudo soup, but enjoy it, will always amaze me! I will miss him.
