RICHARD ANTON LEITNER Richard Anton Leitner, age 75, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at his home. He was a former resident of Western Springs, for 28 years. He was a parishioner of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. He was the winning manager of Mayor Daley 's Youth Foundation League in 1972 for the city of Chicago. He was a stock broker with Chicago Board of Trade/Chicago Board of Options Exchange for over thirty years. He enjoyed many hobbies, including golfing, watching Turner Classic movies, traveling, family gatherings and mall walking at Bradley Square Mall. Mr. Leitner was the son of the late Anton Richard Leitner and Dorothy Braun Leitner. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Frances Leitner of Cleveland, Tennessee; three children: Dawn Anderson and husband, Kenneth of Cleveland, Frank Leitner of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jennifer Douglass and husband, Christopher of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Ryan Burge and husband, Brad; Hilary Barrett and husband, Tim; Jessica Haynes, Justin Douglass and Joy Douglass; three great-grandchildren: Chase, Harleigh and Christina. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, with Father Tom Moser presiding. Interment followed the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Frank Leitner, Christopher Douglass, Justin Douglass, Kenneth Anderson, Ernie Love and Bob Hussell serving as pallbearers. The service concluded with a white dove release ceremony. The family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, concluding with a prayer service.
