I worked at Loyola Medical Center in the 70´s. Ivy also worked there in the office next to mine. Dr Warpeha operated on my mother and aunt. He was a great man and Doctor. Ivy you probably won´t remember me but I am so happy you were able to have so many years with this good man.

I was a patient of Dr. Warpeha in 1986, when he was my surgeon at LUMC for excision of a malignant melanoma. Due to Dr. Warpeha, my operation was completely successful without complications. Now, at age 70, I will be forever grateful to Dr. Warpeha for his skillful treatment that allowed me to survive that serious illness.

I served with Ray on the anesthesia service at Cook County Hosp. I remember him as a very humble and good person. Dr. Art Kennedy.

I just learned of Dr. Warpeha's passing. He was such strong support to me after I was burned in 1995. God grant him rest and my prayers are with his family.

I worked at Loyolas Burn unit from 1974-1976. Dr. Warpeha was a great physician and kind man. His family should be proud. His Burn unit was the best without any outside funding. We would move screens up and down the hall with the census. He will be missed.

Raymond was born in Minneapolis as the youngest of 12 children in a Polish immigrant family. He followed his oldest brother, Walter, Sr., into the Univ. of Minnesota dental school. But that was not enough. He went on to earn a PH.D and a M.D. Some family members thought that he was going to become a permanent student. His many nieces and nephews were proud of the outstanding professional career that he went on to in the Chicago area. As my youngest uncle, only 6 years older than me, I will miss him.

Dear Ivy and Family,
Aside from his well known professional achievements, our memories will always center around his love of nature and the outdoors that he was kind enough to share with us over the years. He was always one of our heroes and will always be remembered in family lore with fondness. We share in the family's sorrow at the loss of our Uncle Ray. Paul, Rashimah, Risman, Fonz, Jade and Zosha.

Dear Ivy, Katie, John, Joe and Frank;
Ray was my dad's best friend, and I remember him from as far back as I can remember anyone in my life. The Pence family will be keeping Ray's memory alive with lots of good stories whenever we get together. Our deepest sympathy.

Dear Ivy, Kate, John, Frank and Joe,
Deepest sympathy for your loss of a very good man. I remember his deep laugh, his humor, his willingness to dole advice, and his general good heartedness. Though it is a difficult time rejoice that he is no longer suffering any pain and is seeing God face to face. Love, his niece Therese
