Raymond Napolski Obituary
Raymond G. Napolski of Downers Grove was a US Marine Corps veteran 3rd division and purple heart recipient during WWII, beloved husband of 68 years to his late wife Jean (Jennie Cabaj), loved father of Joan (Stephen) Wittrup, Donna Confer, Mary Ann (Bret) Steinhaus, and Thomas Napolski, dear grandfather of Deborah (Terry) Jones, Christine (Frank) Diliberto, Michael (Laura), Jennifer, and Stephanie Steinhaus, great grandfather of Zoe and Lauren Jones; Nicholas, Anthony and Michael Diliberto; and Emily Steinhaus, fond brother of Bernard (Deborah) Napolski. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Catherine (Licziwek) Napolski and sister Rita Phillips.
Raymond was a Senior Planning Engineer prior to retiring from Western Electric ATT-Lucent in 1983. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and fishing. Raymond was 96 when he was taken by our Lord. He died February 19, 2021.
Visitation will be held at Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main Street, (1 blk. So. of Ogden) Downers Grove on Wednesday, February 24th, 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 820 Division Street, Lisle on Thursday, February 25th, at 11:00 AM. The Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 7201 Archer Avenue, Hill of St. Paul, Justice, IL. For information 630-968-1000 or www.adamswinterfieldsullivan.com
