Ragnar Moen Obituary
Ragnar Moen, age 80, of Elmhurst, beloved husband of Gerd; loving father of Kirsten (Tom) Hinchley, Andrew Moen, the late Andrea Moen and the late Haakon Moen; proud grandfather of Kyle, Kristoffer, Chelsey and Codie Hinchley and Jacqueline and Cassandra Korinek.
Survived by his dear brother, Torleif Moen.
Preceded in death by his brother and 5 sisters.
Ragnar was the head groundskeeper for Elmhurst College for 38 years, and helped to create the Elmhurst College Arboretum.
Visitation at the Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst, on Thursday, October 30, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and where services will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Elm Lawn Cemetery.

Dear Gerd and family,
So sorry to hear about the loss of Ragnar. He was a dear friend of the family and he will be missed. I remember all of those last night calls when Ragnar would call my dad Paul and tell him there was snow to be removed from the College. Ragnar spent so much time making the college campus so beautiful that every time I drive by I think of Ragnar.
