I am proud to carry on as your namesake Aunt Rae. Your laugh will forever echo in my heart as well as the memory of your sense of humor and teasing. I will always treasure the last time I got to spend with you only a couple of months ago where we enjoyed reminiscing over old times and laughed until it hurt. You will always be in my heart and my greatest memories. One day we will meet again and I will know you by your laughter. Monna "Rae"

For Rae
It seems you have slipped away into the next room.
The old life we lived together so fondly
Is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Let’s laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we enjoyed together
We will play, smile, think of you, pray for you
Your name will ever be the household word that it always was.
We will try to speak it without an effort,
Without the ghost of a shadow upon it.
You will never be out of mind
Because you are out of sight.
You are waiting for us, but for an interval
Somewhere very near,
Just around the corner
We trust that all is well.
