Phyllis Ann Kennedy

Phyllis Ann Kennedy, a resident of Lemont, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday the 19th of March, 2019.

Born in 1942 in Danville, IL, and raised in Paxton, IL, Phyllis graduated from Paxton High School and soon after received cosmetology training at Danville Beauty College. In 1962, Phyllis moved to LaGrange where she raised her family and worked as a cosmetologist for more than 40 years. She enjoyed many life-long relationships with her colleagues, clients, and neighbors.

In 1988, Phyllis married Tom Kennedy (Naperville) and became stepmother to sons Mike, Bill, Brian and daughters Kathleen and Sharon. Phyllis and Tom built and enjoyed their Lemont home for more than 30 years.

An avid gardener, Phyllis was an active member of the Lemont Garden Club and always looked forward to the Annual Plant Sale and other club events. Phyllis and Tom frequently enjoyed traveling to parts unknown throughout America, sightseeing and visiting family.

She is survived and greatly loved by her husband, Tom; son, Phil; daughter, Yvonne; sister, Marietta; and many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
