Philip Smith Obituary

Philip J Smith Jr., 77, died November 30, 2011 in Tarpon Springs, FL, where he had lived for 10 years. Before moving to Florida, he had lived in Carol Stream and Glen Ellyn. Born in Kansas City, KS he attended Rockhurst High School & College in Kansas City, MO and the University of Kansas. He was a member of Phi Kappa Theta. He served in the 82 Battalion of the Army. He is survived by four children, Susan Rauch, Julie Morano, Steven Smith and Brian (Marie) Smith and former wife, Kay Smith; eleven grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ellen (John) Collins of Kansas City. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, December 17, at St. Petronille in Glen Ellyn at 10:00 a.m.
