Peter Wolak Obituary

PETER P. WOLAK Age 93 August 23, 1919 - March 24, 2013 Beloved husband of 62 years to Laverne nee Nelson. Father of Peter J., Antoinette Kadera, Paul (Rita) and Hugh Wolak. Proud Grandfather of six, Great Grandfather of five. Born in Peru, IL, he was a long time resident of Stickney. He owned a tavern at 3943 S. Home Avenue from 1952 - 1970. Mr. Wolak was employed at Western Electric in Cicero until his retirement. He was an avid bowler, whose average was consistently over 200. He sponsored numerous little league teams throughout the 60 's. He was also active in many community functions and a member of St. Pius X Church. Throughout his life, he took in needy children and gave them a home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday April 21, 2013, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., at Du Page Crematories and Memorial Chapel 951 S.
