Pauline Morency Obituary

Tilton, NH

Mrs. Pauline L. Morency, 84, of Tilton, formerly of Elkins St. in Franklin, died at Franklin Regional Hospital on Feb. 6, 2008.

She was born in Laconia on Nov. 29, 1923 where she was raised. Pauline was a graduate of Laconia High School, Class of 1943. She later graduated from Notre Dame Hospital School of Nursing in Manchester as a registered nurse.

Several years ago, Pauline worked at Jane Brown Hospital in South Providence, RI and then Franklin (NH) Regional Hospital. She also worked at the Peabody Home in Franklin and lastly for 12 years at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen retiring in 1989.

Several years ago, Pauline was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She also volunteered at the Twin Rivers Food Pantry and the Thrift Clothes Closet. She was a member of the former Catholic Daughters of America Court Annie Nesmith, Franklin Senior Citizens, and was a communicant of St. Paul Church.

Family members include her husband of 58 years, Fernand J. Morency of Tilton, 3 children: Jeanne Auger and her husband Michael of Sanbornton; Francis Morency and his wife Catherine of Westford, Mass.; and Mary Morency and her husband William Perry of Concord, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a sister: Beatrice Wheaton of Warwick, RI, half sister Irene Carrier, half brother Armand Benoit, both of Laconia, and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning (Feb. 9th) at 11:00 am in St. Paul Church. Spring burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Morency may be made to The TRIP Center, 20 Canal St., Franklin, NH 03235.

My sympathy to Pauline's family. She assisted during the delivery of many of Franklin's young people when she lived on the "Flats". I am sure she will be missed by all who knew her.
