Paul Drouin Obituary

DROUIN - Paul F., age 68, of Hyannis, MA, died unexpectedly on April 17, 2006 at the Cape Cod Hospital, in Hyannis, MA. He was very active in several local civic organizations. Including the Hyannis Civic Association where he was President, the Cape Cod Historical Maritime Museum where he was a Founding Director. He was active with the Hyannis Main Street Waterfront Historic Commission and also a Board Member, the HYRATE, the Hyannis Harbor Action Group. He was a member of the Hyannis Chamber of Commerce, the Cape Cod and Islands Board of Realtors and the Cape Cod and Islands Multiple Listing Service. He is survived by a son Paul F. Drouin Jr. of Melrose, MA; a sister Janet Jansen of Stuart, FL; one grandson; two nieces, one nephew and his longtime companion Anne Sweeney of Boston, MA. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., in the Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601. A visitation gathering will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Oakneck Cemetery, Hyannis, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Cape Cod Hospital, c/o Healthcare Foundation of Cape Cod, 4 Bayview Road, Hyannis, MA 02601. I met Paul through a town government course and found him to be a sincere and dedicated servant to Hyannis and our town. My sincerest condolences to all who loved him. His passing is a great loss to us all!
