Patrick Avis Obituary

Patrick "Pappi" Clarke Avis, age 66, passed away January 10th, 2011 in Berwyn, Illinois at MacNeal Hospital at 9:10 p.m. Patrick was born on March 4, 1944 in Cloquet, Minnesota to Edward and Victoria R. Zavislak. He was previously married to Diane K. Julian. He is survived by father, Edward A. Zavislak; daughter, Nicole M. Kunesh; son, Bryan E. Avis; adopted grandson, David L. Kunesh; grandson, Nickolas B. Kunesh; and brother, John E. Zavislak. He also had one nephew and five nieces. He was a graduate from St. Thomas University and a retiree of Continental Airlines. He had friends throughout the world. The wake was held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Mount Auburn Funeral Home located at 4101 South Oak Park Avenue in Stickney, Illinois from 2:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service and mass were held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at St. Pius X Church located at 4314 South Oak Park Avenue in Stickney, Illinois at 10:00 a.m. For more information, please call the funeral home at 708-749-2033.
