Patricia Winslow (nee Ely) Toogood, passed away July 19, 2014. She was a long time resident of Downers Grove.
Pat was born Dec. 25, 1936, in Chicago. She moved with the family to Downers in late 1938. She graduated from Downers high school in 1954. She entered Miami University in Oxford, OH, 1954. She transferred to Coe College, Cedar Rapids, IA, 1955. She joined Chi Omega sorority and graduated from Coe in 1959. Shortly thereafter she found employment at Argonne National Labs in Lemont, IL. She met Dr. Gerald E. Toogood, her future husband at Argonne. They married in Aug. 1964. They had one child, Anita Kirsten Toogood, who was born in 1970.
Pat is survived by her husband Gerald of Waterloo, Ont.; daughter Anita of Calgary, Alberta; brother Charles Ely and wife Doris of Excelsior, MN; sister-in-law Jean and her husband and family in England.
