Dear Pat: Yesterday your Mom left us and joined you, Ryan and your Dad. I'm so happy I was able to visit with her in May. Even though it was hard for her to get around, she still had her humor and that twinkle in her eyes. She seemed to enjoy reminiscing as we looked through her photos to select the perfect ones for your Guest Book. I promised her that I'd visit her again in August, but I guess her body just couldn't last that long... But the special memories we have of her will live on forever. Tell your Mom that we'll miss her... We know she's where she wants to be. Your cousin Kim

Pat, you were more then a cousin to me, you were like a sister.I will never forget the wonderful Thanksgivings and Christmas' we all had together going up. I wish we could go back in time to do them all again. You were always smiling and laughing, I can't remember a time not seeing or hearing your laughter. You will forever be in my heart, your laugh and smile in my head. I will miss you dearly!
All my love: your cousin Mary

My beloved daughter,
I am so sorry that I was unable to say "goodbye" in person. Please know that I have always loved you and that I am proud of all of your accomplishments. Although you always had "a mind of your own" I know that you respected and loved Dad and me.
I know that you are now pain free and that you are reunited with Dad, Ryan, Blossom, Uncle Harold and Aunt Lorraine.
Rest in Peace Sweetheart - With all my love,
Mom

Always smiling and full of zest!

Pat, you always said that even though we may not keep in touch as much as we should, we always had each other in the front of our minds and the bottom of our hearts. That is still true today and always. I will cherish our 49 years of memories; the family reunions...birthday parties... swimming in the Fox River... vacationing in Arkansas and Missouri... years at ISU and Weslyan... playing tricks on Tilly and Reno... having sleepovers at Aunt Lorraine's... your Incredible Edible machine... staying up late to read after your Mom and Dad thought we were asleep... countless Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners at the kids' table down in your basement ... Grandma Mielke telling us to stop giggling... swimming for hours in your pool in River Grove... I will forever remember your endless energy, your zest for life, your drive for perfection, and your contagious laugh. We were like sisters and I love you because of that. I know how happy you are to be with Ryan and I'm comforted to know that you are finally at peace. I will miss you Pat, but you'll always be with me... in the front of my mind and the bottom of my heart; today and always. Your "Cuz" Kim

I always remember Aunt Pat as lovable and fun when I was growing up. She was always a great hostess at family get togethers. I only wish I could have known her better now that I am older. I love you and know that you are happier with your son Ryan by your side.

I hope that my baby sister is finally at peace with her world and free from the pains that tormented her. I love you Sis. I will always remember the good times.
