Patricia A. "Pat" Pepe, 68, a 42-year resident of West Chicago, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 after a 6-year long battle with cancer at her son's house in Surprise, Arizona surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 9, 1951 in Chicago to Rose and Albert Buffa. Pat was a 1969 graduate of Addison Trail high school.

She was a dedicated mother and in-home daycare provider for 42 years. Pat took care of hundreds of children over those years and was a second mother to most. She especially loved her role as Nana. They say it takes a village to raise a child, my mother was the village.

Pat didn't have friends; all her friends became family. She was selfless, always thinking about others and putting their needs and feelings before hers. She was a wonderful gift giver, never missed a card for any holiday, birthday, or anniversary. She had a way of making others feel special and loved. She will be missed dearly.

Pat is survived by her brother Albert Buffa and sister Kathleen (Lou) Varzino; her 2 sons and 1 daughter, Sebastiano (Tiffany) Pepe of Surprise, AZ, Antonio (Sarah) Pepe and Gianna Allen both of Columbus, IN. 8 Grandchildren, Easton (Hawk) Allen, Skyla (Sky) Pepe, Gabriella (Skinny Legs) Allen, Dalayna (Dia) Pepe, Lyliana (Lyli Bug) Pepe, Alex (Peanut) Pepe, Maximus (Sugar) Pepe, and Logan (Boo-Boo) Pepe. All of these she loved to the moon and back and is now their guardian angel and will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00pm.
