Parker Lusk Obituary
Parker Blakely "Pat" Lusk, of Glen Ellyn for 46 years. Passed away on March 14, 2015, in Wheaton, IL.
Beloved husband of June Lusk; father of David Lusk (Renee Westa-Lusk) and Robert Lusk (Michelle Staley); stepfather of Mark Richardson (Hillary Holecek); grandfather of Elliot and Libby Lusk, Marylee and Gregory Richardson, Joseph, Katarina, and Thomas Holecek Jr.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia.
Parker learned to fly before he learned to drive a car, and piloted a B-24 bomber in World War II. He loved journalism and teaching. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and earned a Master's Degree in Journalism at the University of Illinois in Champaign. Early in his career, he taught journalism at the University of Montana and was a reporter at the Chicago Sun Times. He worked for many years at AT&T and Illinois Bell, retiring from their Chicago office as News Services Manager.
Parker then returned to teaching, and taught journalism and mass communications at several colleges in the Chicago suburbs for another 10 years. Parker was an amazing gardener, and loved roses in particular. He was a treasured presence in our lives. Words cannot express how much we'll miss him.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday, March 20th, at 11:00 a.m. at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 680 S. Park Blvd, Glen Ellyn, IL. Interment will be private at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park, IL.

Sorry to hear of Parker's death. We have been worried about him for the past couple of years-had no response. How is June? Our sympathy to all the extended family. Arnold & Beth Willis, long time friends from Platteville High School,neighbors and long time reunion get togethers.Will be in touch with BabyFold.

Sorry to hear of your loss, and the grief that your family is experiencing at this time. My you find comfort from all your friends and family, my they allow you to express yourselves when you need and to be quiet when that need arises as well. Our Lord and savior Jesus new how to do this perfectly as 2 Chronicles 6:29 says each one has " his own plague and his own pain".
