Ora Harrold Obituary

HAYS - Mrs. Ora H. Harrold, 94, the wife of the late Leonard Gilbert Harrold of Traphill Road, Hays, died Thursday, Aug. 7, at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Harrold was born April, 3, 1909, in Wilkes County to Robert and Mamie Hall Huie. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Harrold was a long-standing member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, James Ralph Harrold and Billy Ray Harrold, both of Hays; a daughter, Clemmie Mae Williams of Dudley, Ga.; three brothers, the Rev. Milo Huie, Fred Huie and Monroe Huie, all of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Rosalee Barnette and Evelyn Hatcher, both of Winston-Salem; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Maple Grove Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Miller Funeral Service in North Wilkesboro from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wilkes, 1907 W. Park Drive, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
