Neil M. Rose

Neil M. Rose, age 89, of Glen Ellyn died September 20, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Memorial Visitation and Service will be held Sunday, October 25th with Visitation from 1:00 p.m. to the time of Service at 3:00 p.m. at Glen Oak Country Club, 21W431 Hill Avenue, Glen Ellyn.

Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Pat, nee Miller; his daughter, Sue (Chris) Kowalski of Glen Ellyn; two sons, Rick (Joy) Rose of New Jersey, and Stuart W. Rose of Urbana, IL; three grandchildren, Katie Kowalski of Washington D.C., Emily (Matt) McKillip of Raleigh, NC, and Kelsey Kowalski of Glen Ellyn; his great granddaughter, Eleanor; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Rose is preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Cozzens, and Barbara Owens; and his brother, Alan.

Mr. Rose was born in New Jersey and was a graduate of Milburn High School in New Jersey. He was a graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in Engineering and received his Law degree from George Washington University.

Mr. Rose was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Rose was a lawyer and a Vice President for Sunbeam Corporation for 25 years. He specialized in patent and international law.

Mr. Rose was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He was a member of the Order of COIF. Mr. Rose was a member of the American Bar Association, the Patent Law Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.

Mr. Rose was a resident of Glen Ellyn for 60 years. He had been married for 67 years. Mr. Rose had been active with the Glen Ellyn Plan Commission. He was an avid reader and tennis player. He also enjoyed golf.
