Nancy Zimmerman Obituary

Nancy M. "Nan" Zimmerman, age 76, of Downers Grove, IL was called home by The Lord on the 23rd of April 2012. Nancy was born on the 14th of May 1935 to William and Margaret Newing in Wauwatosa, WI. Nancy graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 1957 with a degree in Education. Nancy was a well liked Kindergarten Teacher in West Allis, WI and Westmont, IL. A long time resident of Downers Grove, Nancy had a love of nature and enjoyed her time outdoors and in the Morton Arboretum. Nancy is survived by her husband, Arnold Dean "Arnie" Zimmerman. She was a loving mother of Mark W. (Anna) and Gary D. (Denise) Zimmerman; cherished Nana of Sarah, Eric, and Tonya; aunt of Jeff, Carol and Cheryl; and twin sister of James (Anita) Newing. Nancy was a longtime member of the Calvary Church of Naperville, and also the First United Methodist Church of Downers Grove. A memorial service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held on the 2nd of June 2012 at noon at the Calvary Church in Naperville.
