Nancy C. Tullsen Nancy C. Tullsen nee Clegg, age 71, longtime area resident, passed away at her home in Elmhurst on November 25, 2013, from a rare form of cancer. Beloved wife of J. Peter Tullsen; dear mother of Barbara (Daniel Hill)Tullsen Hill and John P. (Evan Siegel) Tullsen, Jr.; cherished nana of Wesley Tullsen Hill and Alaina Elizabeth Hill; loving daughter of the late Alice Revell Clegg and Dr. Lawrence Clegg; adored sister of Carolyn (Stephen) Hemman and Howard Clegg; aunt of devoted nephews and nieces. She was born and raised in Norwich, Connecticut, and graduated from Gettysburg College in 1963 with a double major in history and education and met her husband of 50 years there. Nancy and family moved around the country more than a dozen times, primarily due to her husband 's job transfers, and she always quickly made friends, embraced her fresh surroundings, and redecorated her new homes. Her primary career and highest priority was raising her family, but Nancy also pursued a variety of positions, including elementary school teacher, bookkeeper, visitors ' center representative, and several bank customer service positions. Among her many interests and talents, Nancy was renowned for her craft projects, from making candles to creating pinecone wreaths to reupholstering furniture. She also singlehandedly repainted the interiors of all her new homes and was a superb landscaper. Nancy would keep up with the ins and outs of the financial markets, the latest recipes, and TV shows ranging from "Law & Order" to anything on the History Channel. She also was a master entertainer, renowned for her generosity and thoughtfulness. Gracious and ever interested in others, Nancy always put people at ease and enjoyed discussing everything from news, culture, food, and most of all family. Nancy, who will be remembered for her sweet, caring, classy, and genteel personality, will be forever missed by her family and many friends. Memorial Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S.
