Nancy Davis Obituary

Nancy Davis, 79, of Vienna, IL died at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL on Wednesday, March 23, 2011. She was born in West Frankfort, IL on October 28, 1931, the daughter of Otho Coleman and Opal (Troup) Claxton. She married Eugene Davis on March 27, 1954 in Corinth, Mississippi, and he survives. Mrs. Davis is also survived by her two sons, Gary Davis of Dixon, IL and Peter (Cheryl) Davis of Geneva, IL; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Kelly and John; and uncle, John L. (Merle) Davis of Benton, IL. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Betty Beard and Margaret Warchol. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28th at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Claire Weaver officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic & Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Morton Johnston Funeral Home in Benton.
