She was a beautiful lady. She was my Aunt Peggy's best friend. I spent a summer visiting them both in 1955.

Mildred Drew was the last of a generation. She was the last surviving granddaughter of James Drew who came to Downers Grove in 1848. She and Donald were part of my family, my father's cousins. I remember them both with fondness.

The Illinois State Organization NSDAR is saddened to learn of the death of Mildred Lucille Drew.
She lived a very full life and touched so many people.

Miss Drew was my teacher at Hawthorne School in 1947-49. She read books to us that I remember to this day. She will be missed with fond memories.
