Dear Family of Michael Spagnoletti,
My sincerest sympathy of the passing of "Uncle" Mike. Though I only met him a few times I grew to care for him and appreciate how much he meant to his family. When I was in his prescence I always felt valued and respected. He was gratious and caring. I appreciate so much the obvious influence he had on you his beloved family. My love to all of you in your loss.

Carol and Mary,
Rest assured your dad is in good hands. Picture a table with Nonna at one end, grandpa at the other, my parents, Danny, Sylvan and Phyllis waiting for your dad to arrive so Nonna's feast can start. Of course, there will be grandpa's homemade wine, Nonna's 'pearas' and 'coffee'.
Your dad was a very special Uncle to all of the Spanns. He always left us with a smile. We knew we were loved. He WILL be missed, but we know he wil lbe watching over us until we meet him a gain.
Love, Jo

My uncle was truly an amazing person. I was so fortunate to have him as part of my life. He was a second father to all of us. He was extremely handy and with his talent to "fix" things he created a natural bound between all of us.
His favorite phrase when fixing things was " Mickey Mouse built a house" and then he would proceed to disassemble someone elses unhandy work and show us the proper way to do things right.
As he spent time with us, he coached us, prodded us, teased us, and along the way , taught us.
In his unassuming manner he taught us that there are different ways to tackle problems, taught us teamwork, taught us patience and taught us trust. During the time he spent with us he lent and ear and provided counsel and wisdom. Of course, as anyone who knew him, along the way he always made us laugh.
He had a natural zest for life and a passion for things that were very important to him.He was devouted to his family and to his VFW post in North Riverside. He was devoted to his family and to his VFW post in North Riverside. He exemplified the importance of family and country.
My heart goes out to my cousins and their families. This world has lost a very special father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
My uncle will truly be missed.
With much love and sympathy,
his name sake - Michael Joseph Spann

Carol and Mary,
Rest assured that your mom, Nonna, Grandpa, my parents, Danny, Phyllis and Sylvan were waiting for him with a Nonna feast, complete with Grandpa's homemade wine, some pears and of course coffee.
Also, know that your dad was a 'one of a kind' uncle who left smiles wherever he went. He will be greatly missed within the Spann Family.
Hugs to you both, Joanne
