Died: July 24, 2024 in Canton, GA
Michael Glenn Shaver age 77 of Canton, GA formerly Deputy Fire Chief of Downers Grove, IL passed away Wednesday July 24, 2024. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. He is survived by his wife Rose Shaver, Canton, GA, sons Kevin Shaver, Canada, Michael Unruh, South Elgin, IL, daughter Judy Shaver, IL, Sara Mellstead, IL, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Tunnel to Towers Foundation at www.t2t.org. The staff of Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the Shaver family.

It hard to comprehend that Mike is gone! He will live forever in the hearts of those that remember the "Volunteer" firefighters Thanksgiving Dances!!! Those were the days!!!
