Michael Dunk Obituary

Michael Edward Dunk, of Villa Park died October 03, 2010. He is survived by his daughters, Mary (Dave) Scheer, Katie Polite, Jamie (Jeff) Burmeister; devoted grandfather of Kelley Zylstra (Joshua), Katie Downer, Kristyn Downer, Kerry Downer, Alexis Dunk and Kayla Burmeister. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Karyl Dunk; his parents, Edward Francis Dunk and Mary McKay Dunk; his brothers, Robert, Edward and Jim Dunk. He is survived by his sisters, Betty Djak and Mary Guth, and was the fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was born August 22, 1928 in Oak Park, IL and grew up in Villa Park, IL. He graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, IL, and was the owner operator of Dunk Interior & Exterior Painting and Decorating, in the Villa Park area. A garden enthusiast, he was a proud member of the Villa Park Men's Garden Club, with his yard featured in many garden walks. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1165 S Meyers Rd. Lombard, IL on October 12, 2010 at 11:00am. Memorial Donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1165 S. Meyers Rd.
