MICHAEL J. CARDAMONE Michael J. Cardamone, age 85, of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Centegra Hospital-McHenry. Michael Joseph Cardamone was born on March 12, 1928 in Chicago, the son of the late Michael and Anna "Betty" Hudec Cardamone. He was raised in Chicago by his mother and stepfather, John Klosowski. On March 17, 1956 in Maywood, he was united in marriage to Joan Hamm. She preceded him in death on December 29, 2005. He lived in Broadview, until moving to Twin Lakes in 1994. Michael served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He worked as a bricklayer and then was superintendent for the Broadview Park District. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Twin Lakes, was a Past Commander for the Twin Lakes American Legion Post #544 and a member of the Bricklayers Union in Chicago. He was also past president of the Broadview Boys Baseball League. He enjoyed fishing for 60 years in Big Fork, Minnesota. Michael is survived by 3 children, Cathleen (Kenneth) Zamazal of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, Michael (Colleen) of Des Plaines, and John (Susie) of Bloomington, Illinois; 4 grandchildren, Mike, Danny, Cayla and Caroline; His faithful dogs, Deuce and Warren; his granddogs, Bayleigh and Isabelle; 1 sister, Rosemary (Melvin Kaplan) Voorees of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; father, mother and stepfather, and his faithful friend, Doogie. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, October 5, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 701 N. Lake Ave., Twin Lakes. Inurnment with Military Honors will be in St. John 's Cemetery. The Cardamone Family will receive friends from 8:30AM until 9:30AM Saturday at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc.
