Michael Berg Obituary
Michael E. Berg, a resident of Naperville, passed away suddenly on April 27, 2015. He was born July 9, 1961 in Oak Park.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Kelly (nee Van Meter); his daughter, Caitlyn Berg of Fort Worth, TX, whom he adored; his mother, Joan Berg; his brothers, Jim, Dan (Joann), John and Peter Berg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Berg.
Mike grew up in Elmhurst and attended Visitation School, Fenwick High School and Spring Hill College. Throughout his life he was a huge sports fan and lived for his Green Bay Packers. Not quite a professional golfer, Mike did conquer most courses he played. He enjoyed being a chef and was a talented grill-master. Never one who was shy about his opinions, he made sure you knew what he thought. Mike also never met a stranger and he will be truly missed by all.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A prayer service at 8:00 PM will conclude the evening. Interment will be private.
