Dear Dan & Children,
Sadly, I had not seen Melanie in recent years, and had not known of her illness. Unfortunately, I was out of town when I heard the news. Many years ago we shared much as new parents at our weekly playgroups. Our children were babies and toddlers then and we were fortunate to share fellowship and support one another through the challenges and joys of raising little ones. Over the years, I came to know Melanie as a very gracious and caring friend, not to mention a loving and devoted wife and mother. May she rest in peace and may your memories of her keep you mindful of her loving and generous spirit. Please accept our deepest sympathies.
Fondly, Jan, Stu, Eric and Scott Blum

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Remember the healing process takes time. My dad had a favorite saying "Take things one day at a time." Heed his advice. Take time to grieve.

My thoughts and prayers are with this wonderful family. I hope that Melanie's cheerful spirit lives on forever in Danny, Colleen, Drew and Clare. May you always cherish the memories you have with your mom and know that she was special to so many people. I am thankful that I knew the kindness she brought to every day.

Dear Dan and Family,
I was so very blessed to have a wonderful visit with Melanie over the Christmas season. Every day I prayed for her to find strength to meet each new day that God gave her on earth. She was a dear friend and I will always remember her smile, which was automatic when she spoke of her family. She loved you all so very much. I will miss her and continue to keep her and all of you in my prayers. Please call me if there is anything at all I can do to be of help to any of you.
With love,
Anita
