Matilda Scheck Obituary
Matilda "Tillie" Scheck, age 93; beloved wife of the late Frank Scheck; loving mother of Judie Scheck Anderson, Linda (Edward) Herbeck, and Dave (Chris) Scheck; proud grandmother of Christopher Muhs, Patrick Muhs, Matthew Herbeck, Jenna (Dr. Joey) Babu, Ryan Scheck and James Scheck; cherished life long friend of Hazel Leahy and Bernice Stapleton; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Tillie was the owner of Suburbanite Bowl in Westmont. Back in 1957, Frank and Tillie saw the opportunity, had a ""hunch and bet a bunch"" and then built a bowling alley. Together with their partners, they built a 16-lane bowling alley and today it is 32 lanes. The family business has given 57 years of support to hundreds of employees, 57 years of fun to our surrounding community and families and 57 years of family challenges and true joy.
Visitation were held on Monday, August 25th, at Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, Downers Grove. Funeral Service was Tuesday, August 26th, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery.

We should all hope for such a full life. She was a nice lady who raised wonderful children. That's what it's all about. I am sure she will be missed but all the memories live on in your hearts.

Judie...My sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your Mom. As with most memories, when I think of your Mom I am usually no older than 18! I know you will miss her very much, but I have come to realize that Moms never really leave us and we can always feel them and their caring concern.

Dearest Judie, Linda and Dave
Tillie was a super sweet lady who we met here at the OakBrook Club several years ago. We had many laughs--she was a wonderful lady. Even after she moved away, we went to dinner and talked about our good times.We had several friends in common. She will be deeply missed and we pray for her to rest in peace - we know she is in heaven with her many friends. God Bless Tillie and all of your family.
