Matilda Ronzheimer Obituary

Matilda M. "Tillie" Ronzheimer, 98 passed away July 4, 2010, at Rosewood Care Center in St. Charles. She was born on January 17, 1912, in Aurora, IL, the daughter of John and Katherine Reinert. She married Herbert Ronzheimer in June of 1937, and they made their home in St. Charles. Seven years after their marriage she was widowed as a result of an accident. Tillie worked at the Arcada Theater as a wardrobe seamstress for the Arcada Playhouse. She also was employed at Centron Electronics in Geneva which later became Richardson Electronics in Elburn as a tube assembler. She retired to Sun City, AZ where she made her home for twenty-five years. In AZ she enjoyed roller skating, bowling, shuffle board, and pinochle. She returned to IL in 2005 and became a resident of Heritage Woods in Batavia where she lived until her death. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Phoenix Suns and the Chicago Cubs. She is survived by her two children, Ken (Sue) Ronzheimer of Elgin and Carol Jepson of Claremore, Oklahoma. Also five grandchildren, William (Lois) Jepson, Diane Lamkin, Lisa Jepson, Laurie (Bill) Pomatto, Jill (Mike) Bombardiere, and seven great grandchildren, Matthew, Meghan, Hannah, Christine, Carissa, Zachary, Derrick. A sister Leona Galpin of Sun City AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert and several brothers & sisters. A private family Memorial Service will be held Friday July 23, 2010 at Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles. Contributions may be sent to Vitas Hospice 580 Waters Edge Dr. Suite 100, Lombard, IL 60148.
