Marylin A. Woodruff

Born: Nov. 16, 1935

Died: March 27, 2016

Marylin A. Woodruff, 80, died peacefully Sunday, March 27, 2016, at the home of her daughter, Julie Lang, and surrounded by her loved ones. She is now at peace with her loving Lord and Savior and her husband whom she missed so much.

Born November 16, 1935, in Courtenay, N.D. the daughter of Kenneth Helmers and Athalie Clark. Marylin married Robert T. Woodruff Jr. on November 24, 1956, in Lisbon, North Dakota. Marylin was a graduate of St. Lukes School of Nursing, Fargo, ND. She had been a member of Crossview Church, EFCA, of Sycamore-Dekalb.

She is survived by her sister, Bernadine (Ken) Youel; five children, Philip (Ruth) Woodruff of Grayslake, IL; Timothy Woodruff of Columbus, OH; Julie (James) Lang of Chicago, IL; Daniel (Linda) Woodruff of St. Charles, IL; and Joan (Rich) Owens of Ft Collins, CO; and 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and her husband.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, April 9th at Crossview Church, EFCA, 150 Bethany Rd., Dekalb.A private family burial of her cremated remains will be at Afton Township Cemetary, Dekalb.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Midwest Emergency Response Team at 1167 Paw Paw Rd., Paw Paw, IL 60530.
