Mary Alice Mumford, 56, of Naperville.
Loving daughter of Paul A. Mumford and the late Shirley J. Mumford; dear sister of Kathleen, the late Stephen, Patricia, Dan, Tom and Pete (Megan); devoted aunt of Jennifer, Kristin, Robyn, Michael, Brandi, Samantha, Piper and Jonah; fond great-aunt of Haley, Abby, Aiden, Payton, Eleanor and Gunnar; beloved owner of Smithwick and Kilkenny Cream; friend of many.
Visitation 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 14 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Funeral service 11:00am on Thursday, November 15 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church of LaGrange, 203 S. Kensington, LaGrange.
Memorial donations in Mary Alice's name to the Hinsdale Humane Society (hinsdalehumanesociety.org) are appreciated.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Mary Alice's passing. I traveled with her and enjoyed her company very much on those trips. My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.

I am deeply saddened by the death of Mary Alice. She was a lovely lady. We shared our love of dogs, especially basset hounds. Prayers for her family. She's in Gods hands now.

I am so sorry to hear of Mary Alice's passing!!! I was fortunate enough to know her and travel with her--so stunned she has left the earth too soon! Her love of cooking and traveling was contagious--what a dear person. She will be missed....May she rest in peace.

I will truly miss Mary Alice. We both shared a love for our "dog kids". We spent years together at the dog park with our dogs. I will always remember our conversations and time walking thru the park, rain or shine. She was a wonderful, thoughtful and kind friend to me. My heart is so sad. God love and keep you Mary Alice Darlene
