Mary Anne Lambert

Mary Anne Lambert, age 83, passed away on April 5th, 2017.

She is the much beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob); loving mother of Robin (Jack) Graham of Woodridge, IL, Lance Lambert (Martha) of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Bryce Lambert of Concord NH; dear grandmother of Ada and Catherine Graham, Daniel (Darcie) Lambert, Rachel (Jim) Nyenhuis and Colin and Mattias Lambert; cherished great grandmother of Robert and Anna Lambert; fond sister of Fred Tracy (late Joyce), Dick Tracy (Pat) and the late Robert Tracy (Winifred); aunt of many nieces and nephews; and precious daughter of the late Otto and Ada Tracy.

A long-time resident of Glen Ellyn, Mary Anne taught 1st grade for 27 years, first at Main Street School and later Lincoln School. She graduated from Buffalo Seminary in 1951, attended Smith College and later graduated from Elmhurst College in 1967. She subsequently earned a masters degree in Education. Mary Anne loved all children; her grandchildren and later great grandchildren gave her great pleasure. A gracious, adventurous woman she traveled all over the world with her beloved Bob and later her children. She faced life with courage, never letting her many health challenges deter her from doing the things or being with the people she loved.

A memorial service will be held on May 13th at 2:00 pm at the 1st Congregational Church, 535 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn.
