Died: June 24, 2016; in Naperville, IL
Mary Frances Jones, 86, formerly of Elmhurst, IL, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at Seasons Hospice of Naperville.
She was born July 8, 1929 in Dyersville, IA the daughter of the late Julius and Marie Jaeger. Mary Fran loved the Lord and was very devoted to her faith, family and friends. She loved teaching children and taught in schools and her art studio for almost 60 years in the Chicago area. She was always appreciative of all her friends made during her years in Elmhurst and most recently the seven years spent at Fox Knoll in Aurora.
Mary is survived by her three children, Anne Marie (Thomas) Swientek of Orland Park, IL, Rev. Robert W. Jones of Sugar Grove, IL and Mary Beth Callais of Chapin, SC; her five grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Jones; and her sister, Marlene Jaeger.
Visitation was Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 9 A.M. until the Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8S055 Dugan Rd., Sugar Grove, IL 60554.

To the family of Mrs. Jones-- My deepest condolences for the loss of this wonderful woman. I'm sure I speak for generations of children who learned the basics of art from Mrs. Jones in her basement studio. Not only did she care about the teaching us sketching, painting and sculpture, she cared that we learned to love it as much as she did. I remember her darting from child to child as we worked, laughing and snapping her gum. She was much beloved by hundreds of children and made a huge difference in many lives.
