Mary Johnson Obituary

Mary Louise Johnson Mary Louise Johnson, nee Shire, age 92, long-time resident of Elmhurst, died December 9, 2013. Visitation will be held Friday, December 13, 2013, from 3:00 to 9:00 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard. Funeral services will be Saturday, with Mrs. Johnson lying in state from 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, 367 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst. Interment will be at Mt. Emblem, Elmhurst. In lieu of flowers, donations to Elmhurst Presbyterian Church are appreciated. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughters, Sheryl Welsch of Elmhurst, Judy (Brad) Pauling of Wheaton, and Marsha (Tim) Raffen of Elmhurst; and her son, Warren C. "Kip", Jr. (Pattie) of Villa Park, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Warren C. Johnson, Sr.; and by her sister, Ruth Beach. Mrs. Johnson had lived in Elmhurst since 1956. She was very active at Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, and was a Deacon there. She worked at Craft Patterns in Elmhurst. She was very family minded.
