Our family lived down the street from the Celer family for many years. I have very fond memories from those days. Mrs. Celer was a great mother and friend. My deepest sympathies to Kathy, Marg, Jim & Mike from the Cerny family. I'd like to have Kathy contact me!

I was in the other second grade classroom and didn't have the pleasure of having Mrs. Celer as a teacher. I was friends with Marge and was at their house a lot. Mrs. Celer always made sure we we had plenty of snacks and stayed out of trouble. My prayers are with the entire family. Peace to you all.

It is a shame that as a 2nd grade student, you do not realize how good your teacher was until you grow up and reflect on the past. Mrs Celer was one who was good, strong, fair and caring. Those that wnet through SMC in the time she taught and were able to share in learning with people like her and Mrs Griffard are better people, not just students, because of them. May God bless her - the class of '73 certainly will remember her kindly.

I have such fond memories of Mrs. Celer's 2nd grade class. She taught with a firm but loving hand. She is truly missed by everyone in the SMC family.

As a Marygrove College,Detroit, classmate of Mary Beth Celer, I became a frequent visitor and life-long friend of the Celer family, and they became family to me & my family since 1968.Mrs. Mary Celer was a great mom & teacher, with firm faith,
who inspired me to be the same.We will all miss her strength & spirit. May she rest in peace with her dear loved ones in the arms of God.

David Cook - American Idol winner owes his "win" to his 2nd Grade teacher. I guess we all "owe" much of our success to our 2nd Grade teachers. I may not have an Idol win under my belt but, I do owe much of my success to my 2nd Grade teacher ... Mary Celer. Throughout her teaching career she has touched, inspired, encouraged, shaped and impacted the lives of hundreds .....
Mary Celer "made a difference" in my life and I "thank" her for that .....
