Martha Johnson Obituary

Martha Mallory Johnson

Martha Mallory Johnson, 68, of Madison County, passed away Sunday evening, May 4, 2008, at the Culpeper Regional Hospital in Culpeper.

She was born February 2, 1940, in Madison County, to the late Rogers Taylor and Annie Mallory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Sylvia Stoutmire; and a daughter, Louise Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson was a former employee of the Plow and Hearth Company in Madison County, and a member of the New Life Christian Center.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Johnson of Madison County; a daughter, Aletha L. Johnson of Landover, Maryland; three sons, Todd Johnson and his wife, Nancy, of Orange, Wayne I. Johnson and his wife, Melanie, of Chester, and Barry O. Johnson of Madison County; a great-aunt, Mrs. Lucy Addison of Madison County; a aunt, Mrs. Virginia Holmes of Gaithersburg, Maryland; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Tanners, with Pastor Walter Brian officiating and the Reverend Mallory Monroe Eulogist. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Viewing will be held from 12 until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until time of service on Friday, May 9, 2008, at the church.

Satchell's Funeral Service Inc. of Orange, is in charge of arrangements.
