Marlene Keller Obituary
Marlene A. Keller, nee Cikan, age 72, of Brookfield. Beloved and adored mother of Katie Keller and Allison Keller; sister of the late John (Mary Ellen) Cikan, Joseph Cikan and Donna (the late James) Kozar; aunt of Jeremy Cikan, Julie Van Eidjt, Jamie Ayers, Lea Kozar, the late David Kozar and Jennifer Kramer; great aunt of Kara Campbell; Baylie and Jimmy Kozar; Matt, Dustin, Cheyenne and Phillip Cikan; Emily and Lily Van Eidjt, David, Zoe and Nathan Ayers. Faithful friend and colleague to many.
Marlene was a loyal Chicagoan who enjoyed downtown during Christmastime, Chinatown and Ricobene's on 26th. She was fond of cross-country road trips, baking, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy and her Dunkin Donuts coffee. Marlene was loving, selfless, generous, just, agreeable and kind-hearted. Marlene was an excellent role model and spent the majority of her career shaping young minds in early childhood. Marlene always saw the good in everyone.
Services and Interment are Private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Ronald McDonald House of Chicago.

Katie and Allison, I am heartbroken to hear of your dear Mom's passing!! I have known your Mom since we were kids. Your grandmother and my Mom were good friends. We lived in Brookfield too. I had not seen your Mom in quite a few years but thought of her often and kept on thinking about reaching out and reconnecting!!! And know, I have such regret that I let time pass!! I have countless great memories of your Mom (as well as you two) when we spent so much time together while living in Geneva. We just lived on the next block and saw each other daily. She was such a caring, supportive, loving friend with such a generous spirit!!! I will forever cherish the gift of knowing Marlene, an angel on earth!!!! She will be dearly missed, but I know we will meet again.
You will be close in my heart, thoughts and prayers as you grieve the loss of your dear Mom!!!
