Marjorie Elliot Obituary

ELLIOT, Marjorie Davidson (nee Smith) Passed from the loving arms of her husband into those of her Saviour at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband of 51 years Douglas, her daughters Elizabeth, (Les) Carol, (Nick) and Katherine, her sons Daniel, (Shawn) and Ian. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Taryn (Aaron), Heather, Christopher (Angela), Danica and Robert, as well as one great grandson ""wee Dougie"". She also leaves her brothers Alec, (Mary), Jack (Aline) and Donald (Roseanne), as well as many other family members. Born December 28, 1933 in Montreal, Quebec and moved to Gold River in 1967. She and dad made a wonderful life for their family and stayed there until 1978. Mom was dedicated to her family and community. She was a brownie leader, Girl Guide Commissioner and active church member. They moved to Mill Bay to be closer to their son Ian in 1978 and then moved to Victoria in 1987. There she became involved with Special Olympics for many years. They made one final move to Edmonton in 1998. She spent the last years of her life active, involved and dedicated to her family and friends. She was generous to a fault, loving in all ways, compassionate and strong. Her laughter and spirit will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. A memorial for mom will be in Edmonton on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009. No flowers by request, but a donation to your favourite charity would have made mom happy. 525823
